How to install TTF fonts in ubuntu 9.04

# Download the font from http://www.dafont.com
cp *.ttf /usr/local/share/fonts
cd /usr/local/share/fonts
sudo chown root:root *.ttf
sudo fc-cache

# if the application that needs to use the font (like gimp ) is open it needs to be restarted
